Andrew Meissner has over a decade of experience working within the Biotechnology industry. He attended The University of Kansas, where he obtained a dual-degree in Chemistry & Psychology (and a teaching license for secondary education), before moving to California in 2013.
Science may be his discipline, but the written word is his paramour. Prior to his collegiate experience, he gravitated to the Arts & Humanities, enrolling in advanced placement English courses and creative writing electives. A devout member of the school newspaper, he was granted early admittance his freshman year as a contributor, enlisted full-time as a sophomore & junior, and was awarded the role of Editor-in-Chief his senior year, wherein he won First Place in the Kansas Scholastic Press Association for Cutline Writing. Enamored by the art of communication and expression of the human condition, writing remains his creative outlet— free from the earnest confines of his vocation, and yet all the same, slyly influenced by its wonder.
Andrew enjoys loud music, analog technology, pirate-themed LEGO, the ALIEN Franchise, giving dogs belly rubs, creating the perfect spreadsheet, and making people laugh. Also, Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
TELAMIR The Immortal Bumpkin is his first novel.
